I Just watched a movie and I usually don't brag about it but this one was good!
It's called The Piano and it's about a mute woman who plays the piano like an angel.
So of course I was in the seventh heaven when I found some sheets from the library of that movie.
I'm now playing song called The Hart Asks Pleasure First/The Promise/The Sacrifice (Many names for one song?) and it's totally wonderfull.
But now I'm just babbling... My point was that in the movie they used a poem from Thomas Hood. Here it is, sorry if I bore you, but I just loved it!
There is a silence where hath been no sound,
There is a silence where no sound may be,
In the cold graveunder the deep deep sea,
Or in wide desert where no life is found,
Which hath been mute, and still must sleep profound;
No voice is hush'dno life treads silently,
But clouds and cloudy shadows wander free.
That never spoke, over the idle ground:
But in green ruins, in the desolate walls
Of antique palaces, where Man hath been,
Though the dun fox, or wild hyæna, calls,
And owls, that flit continually between,
Shriek to the echo, and the low winds moan,
There the true Silence is, self-conscious and alone.
By the way I have promised to write critisism of a poem book named Harry Harlow's Love Lifes.
I'm in so much trouble, because I'm not good with poems, only with novels. And it will be published in a magazine! Darn!
